Help keep the trucks rolling
Every dollar goes toward equipment, training and keeping our volunteers ready to respond.
We're not funded like other emergency services
Unlike police, ambulance and municipal fire services, Prince George Regional Highway Rescue has no stable core funding.
We rely on BC community gaming grants, the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George, provincial reimbursement for the calls we attend, corporate partners and the generosity of people in our community. Those sources vary year to year — and the cost of running a rescue service doesn't.
Without a road rescue service, police and paramedics would still arrive at a crash — but they aren't equipped to get someone out of a crushed vehicle. That's the gap our volunteers fill.
Where your support goes
- Equipment — hydraulic tools, stabilization gear and their annual servicing and certification
- Protective gear — bunker gear, helmets, gloves and boots for every member
- Trucks — fuel, insurance, maintenance and eventual replacement
- Training — courses, certifications and practice vehicles
- A permanent home — a hall large enough to house our entire fleet, including the Heavy Rescue unit

Corporate Partnership
Businesses can sponsor equipment, a truck, training or an event — and be recognized on our trucks, website and social media. We'd love to talk about a partnership that fits your business.
